About
Several defining moments in my career have come from hands-on client work and immersive legal experiences, from representing asylees to advocating for minors, which reinforced why I chose to practice law: to make a meaningful difference. During law school, completing an independent research project that resulted in a comparative international law article was a pivotal moment. It sharpened my analytical skills, deepened my appreciation for precision in legal writing, and confirmed my interest in advocacy grounded in thorough research.
Equally impactful were my international law programs in Ireland and France, where studying comparative legal systems broadened my perspective on justice, cultural context, and client advocacy. Professionally, transitioning into family law practice has been especially defining. Working directly with clients during emotionally charged moments such as divorce, custody disputes, and support matters has reinforced the importance of combining strong legal strategy with empathy, clarity, and reliability. Seeing how thoughtful legal work can bring stability and resolution to clients’ lives has been deeply motivating.
I approach client relationships with empathy, transparency, and consistency. Many clients come to family law matters feeling overwhelmed or uncertain, and I prioritize making the process feel understandable and manageable. I take time to listen carefully, explain legal concepts in plain language, and ensure clients feel informed about both their options and expectations.
From a work standpoint, I am detail-oriented and proactive. I focus on producing thorough, well-researched pleadings and communications while staying mindful of deadlines, procedural requirements, and strategic goals. I view my role as both an advocate and a guide, someone clients can trust to protect their interests while also helping them navigate a difficult period with confidence.
My greatest strengths as an attorney are empathy, professionalism, and strong advocacy. I approach each matter with genuine care for my clients and an understanding that many are navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives. My ability to listen closely, communicate clearly, and remain grounded under pressure allows clients to feel heard and supported while also knowing their interests are being vigorously protected. I combine compassion with strategic thinking, ensuring that empathy never replaces advocacy, but strengthens it.
I grew up in Ohio and completed my undergraduate education at Kent State University, where I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Anthropology. I went on to earn my Juris Doctor, cum laude, from The University of Akron School of Law, where I also obtained Business Law and Litigation Certificates.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, traveling, and exploring different cultures. I value lifelong learning, creativity, and maintaining balance, whether that’s through fitness, crafting, or spending time with friends and family.
Community involvement has been an important part of my professional development. I am an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Akron Bar Association, where I completed the Mentorship Program to further develop my skills and professional network. During law school, I participated in organizations such as the Law Association for Women and the International Law Society, which emphasized collaboration, advocacy, and service.
I am committed to continuing my involvement in the legal community through mentorship, professional organizations, and client-focused service that strengthens trust in the legal profession.
